AN INVOLVEMENT OF RESEARCH ORGANIZATIONS

In order to allow the adaptation of the transferred technologies in the local context, the Project intends to establish partnerships with the following different types of research organizations:

Local research organizations

The Agronomic Research Institute for Development (IRAD), a source of highly qualified local experts, particularly in the area of seed production.
  • the University of Dschang (FASA),
  • the University of Ngaoundéré (ENSIAC),
  • the University of Douala through the Institute of Fisheries Sciences (ISH) of Yabassi

International research organizations

These are precisely those who have an office in Cameroon such as:

  • The Center for International Cooperation in Agronomic Research for Development (CIRAD), a French organization, within the framework of its expertise in Direct Sowing Under Permanent Cover (SCV) and in sustainable rice cultivation.
  • The International Institute of Tropical Agriculture (IITA) whose commitment and expertise in the transformation of African agriculture is not to be demonstrated.
  • The International Center for Research in Agroforestry (ICRAF), whose expertise in the domestication of saffron (dacryoles edulis) and in the implementation of agroforestry systems in general will be useful.

Foreign universities

Five American universities and one Australian university have expressed their interest in participating in the transfer - adaptation of different technologies in the Cameroonian context.
